Reboot
Friday, May 30th, 2008Once a upon a time there was a TV program called Reboot. It was a 3D cartoon about a mainframe and its protectors. They made seven seasons and two movies and then it stopped. The fans of Reboot cried out for more but that was 2001. Then in 2007 Rainmaker Animation declared that it would make a triology of new movies.
But Urahara I hear you hark, what has this got to do with webcomics?
Well the fans have been allowed to submit their ideas via comic form and the first of these comics is available online if you register at the Reboot site.
The comic itself is in the style of the old cartoon but with a comicbook feel to it. You can view pages either close up or with two pages on screen at a time and clicking to see the textboxes. I personally prefer looking at the page close up. The comic is being released in issues with part one released in its 26 page glory.
The storyline is of standard fair to Reboot fans, and the plot might be a little unfamilar for people who haven’t seen the series, but hopefully not too confusing.
Overall something for fans of Reboot to get their teeth into, and it might be worth a look for newcomers too. Now if only I could find the TV series to watch again.
